DAIWA J-Braid Expedition X8E

The new J-Braid Expedition is the latest addition to the popular Daiwa J-Braid series. The Expedition is also made from high-quality Japanese Izanas fibers and has a significantly tighter braid than most other cords on the market – the braid is even rounder and more even. In addition to the quality of the raw fiber, the tightness of the braid is probably the most important criterion for producing a high-quality braided line. DAIWA’s innovative silicone “Coating PE” technology ensures an extremely smooth and soft surface with a silicone coating that offers less water resistance and therefore greater sensitivity. The Expedition does not absorb any water or particles – one of the main reasons for declining performance and fading of the line – and therefore offers significantly higher knot strength and a longer service life in continuous use.
