Constructed from Shimanos XT-7 composite, this reel is lighter than you would expect and is fitted with Shielded A-RB bearings, which are corrosion resistant in saltwater, so you can be sure they will be just fine in freshwater. The AR-C spool, with its unique angled spool lip, works in conjunction with Varispeed, Shimanos variable oscillation system delivering great line lay with both mono and braid.
