Heres a fairly new product, replacing split shot for holding your egg sinker above the hook, and finding a lot of others uses as well. Just use your needle nose to squeeze the Carolina Keeperand a slit opens up for you to insert your line. Adjust the Keeper, to the desired distance above your hook and youre done. The sinker will stay up there were you put it. Its easy to use, gentle on the line, and effective. (The picture shows a keeper on the line.)
