The Quick Rig circle hooks have gained a cult following over the last few years, theyve been very reliable and came in the right sizes to fit our market perfectly. The 1/0 is smaller than a comparable Owner 1/0 Mutu yet still manages to be stronger under load which is perfect for when the bait is small and the fish are big. The original design of all of the sizes used a forged eye instead of a traditional ring eye that most hooks used, but due to some internal changes in the Japanese company producing the hooks the smaller sizes arent currently able to be produced with the forged eye. While this is one of the things that makes the hook unique, it isnt the main reason why these hooks perform so well. The alloy used and the manufacturing techniques employed in bending the hooks into shape helps them retain strength without being too heavy.

The new 1/0 – 4/0 and above sizes feature a forged eye which reduces the profile of the hook a bit but doesnt affect performance. For a while the 1/0-3/0 were made with a ring eye and those will stick around as a separate model of hook. We really like the 5/0 7/0 sizes for double trouble rigs, or as dropper loop hooks for fishing mackerel for grouper and yellowtail.
