This fly was designed in a way that would make a disco ball jealous. I don’t very often‘flash’ flies. But when I do… well, this one was kind of a statement. This thing is superflashy, all the way through. It’s predominantly, for me, a bright day fly. But I’ve fished it oncloudy days and it still does well.

The Pearl Necklace was the first articulated streamerpattern I designed usingUV Shimmer Fringe. This is a true reactionary fly yet has anincredible amount of realism. The flutter tail and life-likeprofile make it one of the best bright day flies I have used,but it has also worked really well in low light conditions,which is where the UV Shimmer Fringe comes into play.
