The MaiTai Striped Bass Hi/Lo rig with floats is a staple of Atlantic coast surf fishing. Every surf angler should have these rigs in their tackle box. They are tied with quality 50 pound monofilament, with Gamkatsu Inline Circle hooks. Above the hooks are fluorescent red floats for additional attraction and to help keep your bait away from the bottom crawling bait thieves. They work well with clams, shrimp and small pieces of cut bait.
