The new BG Monocoque body reels continue on the last few years of development from Daiwa, the initial design was seen on the $800 Exist and after a couple of years has finally gotten to the affordable reel market. With the single piece cast aluminum frame, you drastically improve water resistance since there are less ways for water to enter the reel.
