Joe Shute Ballyhoo Skirts are a staple fortuna fishermen in the Northeast. These lures arethe top choiceto be used as a skirt for ballyhoo rigging to help a ballyhoo run properly and give it added flash and color in the water. These lures should be in the arsenal ofevery tuna fishing boat. Aside from ballyhoo rigging, you can also run these lures rigged with a soft plastic trailer such as a Hogy, Ron-Z, or Got Stryper pin tail (this configuraton is very popular for billfish operations). We offer these in a “witch” style as well in 1/4oz. & 1/2oz. sizes under a seperate item. “Got ’em on a shute!”

If you choose to have this lure rigged by our team of professionals, you have the option for either pin-rigged (for “rubber band” use), or wire-rigged with 12-14″ of rigging wire out of the crimp.
