The helmet secures the head of the Anchovy or small Herring and allowed for extended life of the bait when trolling with flashers. Simply thread your leader throught the helmet leader hole and bait pin hole, place the head of the baitfish in the helmet, secure with pin and place the top hook in the bait and you are fishing!
