Tied right here on Long Island, by local tyer Mike “L.I. Flies” Ozkaya. The GTHammer is a large profile baitfish fly meant for Giant Trevally. This fly pushes a lot of water, and has a profile that gets big fish interested. While these are meant for GT’s, this fly also works very well for big striped bass. Tied on a super strong Gamakatsu SL12S Big Game hook. The 3/0 is a good size for smaller trevally in the 15-25 lb range, and the 6/0 is great forthe smaller and larger ones alike.
