The versatility of the Sumo is that when its tied on the eye side, the heavy belly of the jig will slide through the water underneath docks, pilings, and other hard to reach places. When tied from the belly side, it will have a more traditional vertical fall. With a wobbling, leaf-like action, the squat, round-belly shape of this jig falls into the depths of the ocean to entice saltwater bay bass as well as many others. The Sumos compact design also allows you to use a heavier jig in a smaller presentation for precision fishing. Perfect for fishing shallow docks or 60 ft of kelp beds (the 40 and 60g are perfect for kelp) with a heavy tide swing.
