The Blue Current series is a lineup of various finesse saltwater rods tailored to being as light as possible without sacrificing performance. The new 100 Beta is a rod tailored to surf fishing which perfectly fits our style here in SoCal, we’ve been using a ton of 10-20g micro jigs from Major Craft and Zeake and this was the best rod for casting those smaller jigs. This rod can also be used for smaller jerkbaits for halibut and other species, all the way from 4-30g.

I would pair this rod up with a 2500-4000 shallow spool spinning reel and light 6-10lb or PE0.6-1.0 braid for the best casting distance. These are 2 piece 10ft rods that break in the center to make them more portable. These rods feature Fuji Titanium Torzite guides which are the best quality set of guides on the market, bringing the overall rod weight down to 101g or just over 3.5oz.
